Genshin Impact

Platform: PC

Stats: AR60, don't care about story so idk where I'm at there

Thoughts

I've been playing on and off since release and took a few breaks here and there. The game itself is pretty fine and I think a lot of characters are pretty likeable, which is part of the reason why I'm still playing. I couldn't care less about playing the story since they're taking an eternity to get to the point (I kinda get why they do it, I just don't have the patience).

The main reason why I like this game is the Elemental Reaction system, which makes coming up with new Team comps pretty fun. Ever since I came back to the game after a long break recently, I stopped caring about meta and I've just been playing for fun, currently waiting for a Kinich rerun! I also don't really play this daily, just whenever I feel like it.
Finally stopped stressing about that LMAO-

Also, the "endgame content" (mainly Spiral Abyss and the weird Theatre thing) are crazy p2w. I don't get how people play that. The difficulty spike in Spiral Abyss from Floor 11 to 12 is insane. I stomp Floor 11 but 12 is just ??????? LMAO. I haven't even been trying anymore-

(Anyway, I'm actually an Aether enjoyer.)

Thoughts

This is the game that I constantly quit and pick up again. Love-Hate relationship, unironically.

Well I wouldn't say this game is bad, I personally think its definitely one of the better korean MMOs (or MMOs in general, lol)- It has quite the unique gameplay and kinda some style too. It used to have a little bit more of a personality before they decided to murder the UI by making it look "modern" (still outdated). Modern UI just looks terrible, especially in ANCIENT GAMES but whatever LMAO-

I've played this game since roughly late 2021 iirc, and I've met a bunch of people there that I still talk to (one of them is my BF). But idk even if my friends still play, I can't get myself to play this game as much as I used to anymore, since it's exhausting and kind of time consuming (MMO moment, what'd I expect).

I'd say I had a pretty good time overall, until they released the newest armor (that being Exascale as of right now). That was the point when I quit for a while... Enhancing gear is pretty hard in this game as a f2p and it makes everything so much more painful arghhhh-

BUT BUT BUT- Fashion. This game has CRAZY fashion... I'm so in love with my baby boy character I explode every time I see him. It's part of the reason why I can't fully let go of this game LOL-

Story Games

Sonic 06

Platform: PC (Xenia Emulator)

Progress: Finished Sonic, Silver and Shadow's Story and Last Episode

Thoughts

Ngl despite what everyone else says about this game, I had a really good time and I was a little sad when it was over.
I may be weird cuz the glitches and bugs were probably part of the reason why I had so much fun with it- Though I must say, it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be in terms of bugginess. I heard the xbox version wasn't as bad so maybe that's that. I think many glitches and messed up stuff occurred through the emulator even.

Either way I think this is one of my favs. The overall aesthetic and the somewhat darker tone of the game made it a lot more interesting to me than most other modern Sonic games lol. Not to mention THE MODELS GRAHHH I LOVE THEM. There's something about them that just tickles my brain I love it. I think it's the long quills and generally them looking rather ... lanky (?). Oh and especially the "middle-mouth", that's like a HUGE part. I hate the side-mouth thing they have going on for the newer games it looks TERRIBLE.

What I also don't get is, why they never reused that character-swap feature mid stage (at least from what I know). The stages in this game were rather long, at least on first playthrough, but since you swapped characters sometimes in the middle of the stage, it didn't feel boring at all to me. I wish newer Sonic games did this as well...

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Platform: PC (Steam)

Progress: Finished all Chapters

Last Played: July 6th 2025

Thoughts

I had my 2nd playthrough recently and they still got me staring at the screen like (◉ _ ◉). Ngl this is my fav game from the series, mainly because the characters were just so much better and likeable in my opinion than in the other games. Except for Teruteru, fuck that guy.
Anyway, that just made it easier for me to feel with the characters- I actually felt sad when something terrible happened here LOL.

Though I must say, the very end of the game, yk the very very last "trial" and everything about that (without wanting to spoiler anyone here), confused the shit out of me even on my second playthrough I still don't quite get what happened LMAO I think that part was kinda weird.
I may just be stupid though :3c

SMT: Devil Survivor

Platform: PC (Steam - RetroArch | DeSmuME Core)

Progress: 2 / 5 Routes finished

Last Played: April 12th 2026

Thoughts

Before this game, my only experience with SMT was Persona 3 and 5... and I must say I prefer this a lot more than the Persona games LMAO. The gameplay is a little different, but more exciting in my opinion, and it was also a lot more challenging than I thought. Well, mainly on my first playthrough- I was struggling at some point LOL. The fact that I could just swap around my entire party's skills and even "copy" skills from enemies made the battles a lil more engaging to me. Mainly because it allowed you to change your Team comp a little, so even when I failed I could try other combination of skills to try again, instead of just retrying with the same stuff hoping that RNGesus would be on my side for once.

Though I guess that point turned a bit obsolete near the end, when I unlocked the almighty skills and just ended up spaming Megidolaon and Holy Dance LMAO-

Also, speaking of "Holy", I think the entire Angels vs Demons thing was so funny to me, especially on the Evil Route, where the party literally wanted to beat the shit out of God- The story had a crazy dark tone to it imo and at some point even hit a little too close to home. Definitely a great experience, though I'm not sure if I'll get the other Routes done eventually as well, since I'm not as interested in the characters of the other routes.

SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker

Platform: Nintendo 3DS

Progress: Beat Septentrion Arc (Yamato Route)

Last Played: September 18th 2026

Thoughts

After having played the first game, I think this one wasn't AS good but it definitely wasn't bad either? I only played the base game so far and I'll add my thoughts to the "Record Breaker-Part" later on. So this one, for being a Devil "Survivor" game, it didn't really feel like we were trying to survive that much?? LOL It was very weird. In the previous game you could just feel the despair of the characters and how desperate they were at some point. In this game, the main Trio got free food and shelter throughout the ENTIRE GAME lmfao. The only part that made it feel like they're abt to die is the fact that the world was about to straight up disappear- That's literally it??

I don't know it didn't really have that angsty, desperate feeling that the other game had, but nonetheless its still a good game and I enjoyed it very much :3c They clearly went into a diff direction with this one which definitely wasn't bad, just not what I had expected. The characters were mostly very likeable, except for like one or two, really. Some of them had a screentime of like 5 minutes because they somehow died like instantly?? To this day I don't know if that was scripted or me finding them too late LMAO-

I must say, the gameplay was definitely better. I don't know if DeSu1's "Overclocked" version has these things too since I only played the base game of that too, but the qol this game has was so much nicer for the grind. Speaking of grind, I barely had to do that too, which is such a huge plus, tbh. I could focus on the story for the most part, rarely having to farm exp. Oooh and I love that they buffed Physical, it was AMAZING LMAO.

Anyway, I went for the, I guess, "Evil" Route again, but it didn't really feel THAT evil or smth compared to the first game? (Yeah I'm comparing a lot-) The world did turn into shit but it wasnt like THAT messed up unfortunately lol- I think my favorite part was the cutscene after we beat up Ronaldo and his crew (in the Yamato Route) and he got blown tf up ngl. It was SO unexpected I had to laugh so much, bro kinda deserved it tho, he was a little annoying at some point smh. Anyway banger game, banger music, decent story and good gameplay, I think I'll give it a solid 7/10 or so-

Arcaea

Platform: Mobile (Android)

Stats: 11.53 Potential

Difficulty I'm stuck at: Future 10

Thoughts

I wish I could play this game normally without EXPLODING irl because the inputs drop at the WORST TIMES. Playing this on Android is... terrible. My phone kinda has issues with inputs sometimes in general. Eventually I got a little fed up with that and stopped playing the game altogether but it's definitely a great game- My phone and I just skill issue really hard.**

I have NO clue what the story is about honestly, I never bothered to check it out since I only play it for the gameplay. Not to mention, I'm using my boyfriends account and he already progressed through it anyway LOL. The overall aesthetic of the game is amazing though like gRAHHH. This is also the game that introduced me to a lot of great artists I never heard of before, especially one of my favs, SHIKI.

** Sep. 2026 Update: I got a new phone (still Android, Samsung) and the inputs don't drop anymore! I think it was just my phone, lol.

Sound Voltex

Platform: Arcade, PC (unofficial game)

Stats: 15.250 VF (unofficial game)

Difficulty I'm stuck at: 17

Thoughts

Visually similar to Arcaea (it's probably inspired by SDVX ngl), so I had an easier time getting into it, luckily!! I never played a rhythm game with a controller before though, so it was painful to get used to that at first. But once I got the hang of it, I started progressing a lot faster.

...Until I reached Diff.17. The difficulty spike was crazy. I manage to clear SOME songs but some others are nearly impossible LOL- I may be skill issueing but either way, it's fun!

Also, I mainly played this game at home with the unofficial clone game whatever. My boyfriend made me a small custom controller for the game so I can play at home! But I also play at the arcade machine when I go to the arcade sometimes. Rather rarely though I don't have the money for that LMAO

Also I REALLY like the characters they have in this game! I think in the official version they even appear during the songs, which is kinda cool. I haven't got to see that yet, I assume its for boss-fights or higher difficulty stuff only :3 but I saw it for other people and it's great! Live2D animation grahhh peak.

Project DIVA Mega Mix+

Platform: PC (Steam)

Stats: Lv. 13

Difficulty I'm stuck at: Ex. 8.5, E.Ex. 8

Thoughts

I got into this game after having played SDVX and Arcaea, so I thought "yeah it can't be that bad" and then I saw the controls LMAO. This was WAY HARDER than I thought, but even here I got into it eventually, after experimenting with the hit-visual thingies because my smol brain kept getting confused. Unironically this game made my brain catch fire it's crazy how hard it confused me and still does actually- Like phew how do people do this.

Anyway, this game was my introduction to Vocaloid. It kept popping up on my Steam store page, so I eventually bought it because people hyped it up so hard. And yeah I guess I kinda get the hype around this, it's pretty neat. I used to dislike Vocaloid because the voices gave me headaches, but not all songs are that bad. High-pitched Miku is still terrible in my opinion- but I did find a lot of great songs and artists here too and overall don't regret having tried this game to get my own impression of things!
